The sorbetto tank--doable even for a beginner

by Leslie

You may have noticed that last week Erin did a post on the Sorbetto Tank , a free pattern from the lovely ladies at Colette Patterns.  She encouraged me to make the tank top and despite all my excuses and procrastination (the thing has been cut out for a month), I finally did it.

Check out these glamour shots.

Admittedly, I ran into many of the same snares Erin did, but by reading her post, I got through most of them.  If you've never tried anything with bias tape before, don't get stressed.  It's not as hard as it seems, and there might even be a tutorial coming your way soon.
Because I have a somewhat taller stature than my lovely sister, I added about two to three inches to the bottom of this pattern.  Highly recommended for us tall folk.

So, take it from me.  This tank is fun and frisky.  And casual and cool.  Just do it.  And let us know if you do.  Send a photo or write a comment.  Comment even if you don't make one.  We like comments.
